    Product Description

    A modern architectural gate with vertical side-welded slats to match our aluminium blade fence panels.  This gate can be supplied with a mortice lock system or without hardware.  Selecting no hardware allows for a locking latch or other suitable hardware to be purchased separately.

    What's included

    • 1 x prefabricated aluminium gate with pre-inserted caps (top only)
    • If 'No Hardware' option selected: You will be sent the gate only. Hinges, posts and latches are sold separately.
    • If 'Mortice Lock (locking handle)' option selected: You will be sent a full handle, mortice lock, key and striker plate set. The gate is pre-routed but the hardware will need to be assembled into the gate on installation. The striker plate can be used as a guide to drill out holes in the post for the latch and lock. Posts and hinges are sold separately.

    Set your posts, cut your panels to size and mount them using Future Fence mounting brackets. Not feeling handy? Any carpenter, landscaper, fence contractor or good handyman will be able to install your Future Fence in no time.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Can the side of the handle be reversed?

    As our gate frames are pre drilled for your handle and lock kits on the right side of the gate, the handle must be on the right side.

    Do the Gates with handles arrive with the handle pre installed?

    Our gates come with all necessary holes pre-drilled from your gate frame on the right side of the gate. The handle and lock will arrive in its own box to prevent damage in transit. Simply unbox and assemble into the pre drilled holes.

    What posts should be used with Blade Gates?

    We recommend a 65 x 65mm post for our 1m width Blade Gates. For gates over 1m in width made with a Gate Conversion Kit, we recommend using a Future Fence 100 x 100mm post.

    Will the gate open inwards or outwards?

    With D&D Truclose hinges, mounting the hinges on the inside will allow the gate to swing inwards, while mounting the hinges on the outside will allow the gate to open outwards. For pool fencing, the Australian Standards require the gate to open away from the pool (hinges on the outside).

    Do they come with caps?

    Absolutely - all Future Fence panels come with aluminium powder-coated caps included in the panel price.

    Can the width of the gates be modified?

    For custom width gates we recommend our Gate Conversion Kit which allows you to convert any Future Fence panel into a custom width gate up to 1.5m wide, or double gates up to 3m wide (1.5m per gate).
